Faith & community case study

Redesigning the TGTBC website

We redesigned TGTBC's website around what visitors and members actually need, on a platform volunteers can run.

  • Website

Context

The challenge

TGTBC's website was dated and hard to use on a phone, which is where most people look for a church. It needed a redesign that welcomed new visitors, surfaced sermons and events, made giving easy, and could be maintained by volunteers.

What we did

Our approach

We started with structure and content, decided what a first-time visitor needs to see, then designed a clean, mobile-first site and built it on a content management system the team could run without technical help. A small senior team worked closely with their people, shipped in small increments, and handed over a codebase and documentation their team can maintain.

  • A mobile-first website redesign
  • Sermon and event listings
  • Online giving
  • A volunteer-friendly content management system

Result

The outcome

The new site is fast and mobile-first. New visitors find service times and directions in seconds, sermons and events are easy to browse, and giving is one tap away. Volunteers update it themselves.
