Join Solidslate. Remote-first, senior by default, and deliberate about how we build. Open roles across engineering, design and AI.

Where we are hiring

Do not see an exact match? If you are excellent and the discipline is close, write to us anyway.

Senior Product Engineer

Full-stack, TypeScript-first. You own features end to end and care about the interface as much as the API. Remote, Europe or Africa time zones.

Staff Engineer

Set technical direction across an engagement, mentor the team, and still write the hard code yourself. Remote.

Product Designer

Research-led product and UX design, comfortable working in code-adjacent detail and building design systems. Remote.

AI Engineer

Build applied AI features with evaluation and guardrails, from prototype to production. Strong software engineering fundamentals required. Remote.

Engineering Lead

Own the outcome of an engagement: the plan, the team, the client relationship and the delivery. Senior practitioner, not a people manager. Remote.

Life at Solidslate

How it actually works

Remote-first, not remote-tolerant

The company was built distributed. Meetings are the exception, written communication is the default, and your hours are yours.

Small teams, real scope

You work on one engagement at a time, with a handful of people, on something that matters to the client.

Time to do it right

We scope so there is room for tests, accessibility and refactoring. Craft is part of the estimate.

Learning is funded

A budget and time for conferences, courses and the deep dives that make you better at the work.

Engineering culture

How we build

Trunk-based, continuously deployed

Small PRs, fast review, feature flags, and production on every merge. No release trains.

Tests that earn their place

We write tests that fail when something real breaks. Coverage is not a target.

You will pair

On the hard problems and with new joiners. Knowledge does not live in one person's head.

Decisions are written down

Architecture decision records, so the reasoning survives the person and the meeting.

Interview process

What to expect

Four steps, about two weeks, respectful of your time. Every step is with people you would actually work with.

Intro call

45 minutes with an engineer or designer, not a recruiter. We talk about your work and answer your questions.

Paid work sample

A small, realistic task done on your own time, paid at a fair rate. No unpaid take-homes, no whiteboard puzzles.

Pairing session

Two hours working together on a real-ish problem, so we both see what collaborating feels like.

Offer

Usually within a week of the pairing session. We move quickly once we know.
